1. Why did the author think the U of Chicago test revealed that he was racist? Is he right?
The author thought that he was racist because he shot more black people and fast even it they were armed or disarmed.
2. Do these tests measure “unconscious” racism? Why do you think so?
No I think that this only shows that how fast you would react if the person is black armed or disarmed or the person was white armed or disarmed. Because these tests should as how fast would you react to a person with a gun or a beer bottle?
3. Why does the author think that sexism may be harder to fight than racism? What research suggests this?
Sexism may be harder to fight racism because men to be more suspicious and more violent if they have a gun or a beer bottle than woman’s who are armed or with a beer bottle.
4. Paraphrase this quote: The challenge for women competing in politics or business is less misogyny than unconscious sexism: Americans don’t hate women, but they do frequently stereotype them as warm and friendly, creating a mismatch with the stereotype we hold of leaders as tough and strong.
I think that in different countries women are mostly abused rather than being hated. But in the U.S. women are more known as an independent rather than being controlled by men. The author says that women are “hard-wired desire to control and impregnate them.”
5. What is the real problem women face according to the author? What do you think?
I think that people would think as women as a warm and friendly. But I think that men attend to put women as a weaker sex, they also think that women would be under control by men.
6. How can this problem be confronted according to the author? What do you think?
Research subjects who were asked to think of a strong woman then showed less implicit bias about men and women. And students exposed to a large number of female professors also experienced a reduction in gender stereotypes. I think that students have a lot of women teacher because way back women would rather be a teacher or a nurse

HW: Choose 3 characters in the movie and explain what the character wants and what obstacles that character faces. In the end, does the character get what he/she wants? If so, how? If not, is that a good thing? What does the ending on the movie seem to be suggesting about the possibilities of people to get ahead?
The movie “A Raisin in the Sun” deals with many conflicts and many other obstacles that they have to face. The Younger family deal with family problem, poverty and racism in the their house and in the community. The Grandma has the biggest obstacle first it was his son, who was getting crazy about starting a liquor business and he wanted the money which she would give him and he was treating his wife wrong, and the last was about the racism she got when she bought the house. The second character was the Walter Younger who had the problem about the obsession for money, drinking habits and also he didn’t cooperate with his wife, because he thought that she would never listen to him. The last person was Walter’s sister, she faced some difficulty problem like the guy form back home, Africa, he wanted her to come with her even though, she also had a obstacle that included her brother which was having some money for her education to becoming a doctor. At the end it suggests that the character will get want they wanted for themselves.

When there racism going on, people do something about and also people would get offended really fast and they wont ignore it but they would fight the person. I just think that it has been over 100 years and people didn’t doo anything about it or said something. Some people did something about it and they were honored by taking an action. My personal experience was that this some guy called me a terrorist in a joking way but it really offended me because if I just left it alone they would have said something else that would be really offending. This tells me that there are some people who have nothing else to say and nothing else to just forget about the whole racism because we are all human. I think that this might get worse because of the situation that is going around it the world and it would affect different ethnic groups.

One of the DSP that was engaging was the lego and the tolo because it was a lot of hard work and people wanted to see how it turned out. The most provoking was the group that did the gambling and had to bet. The funniest and the well made was the group that had the ninja. It was also a good idea for having a subtitle and the basically the same words every time that had a close up on a certain character.

For my Digital storytelling project. I was thinking to talk about teens who are eager to get something, or get something done. My group are thinking to use voicethread which would allow us to get pictures and record our voices. We might tell a story about teen struggles and desires and the consequences that could happen to them if they choose the easy way instead the hard way.

HW: Write or expand your earlier blog post on ambition. Tell me a story about a man/woman/other who wants something so bad that he/she/it is willing to do anything to get it.
There is this girl is really spoiled. She is the only child in the household. She will get anything she wants. She is so spoiled she barely gets in trouble. She is a type of girl that would fake cry and her parents would believe her that she is really in pain or wants something. But one day she was a invited to this party that only cool people went to. She wanted to get this dress form Nordstorm that cost about $500 for a pink dress that was really nice looking and looked like a real celebrity dress that would wear to a famous movie premiere. So she asked her mom but she said NO! So she started to cry and went to her dad and asked if he could buy the dress for her but he said “Sorry Honey its too much” she started to cry, but this time her parents werent falling for her act so they just ignored her. Now she realized that her parents know her trick. So that day she went to the nordstorm to get the dress. She had a plan that she would pretend that she is trying it on in the dressing room, but she is going to put in her bag. When she got into the dressing room, she took of the price tag. She walked out and started walking towards the door but when she got into the metal detector, she forgot that she forgot to take off the metal part off her dress. She was in a lot of trouble with the police, and her parents. She didnt know that her parent already bought her the dress form before and was about to give to her. But it turned out to get returned.
